About Me
At some point, for many leaders, success creates a new problem.
The strengths, instincts, and ways of operating that drove results early on begin to work against them. Decisions narrow. Information becomes filtered. Teams adapt—often by saying less, not more. And effectiveness starts to slip—not because of the market or the strategy, but because of how the leader is operating.
This is the point where I do my best work…
How I Think About Change
I think about change in three stages:
- Self-knowledge.
- Self-awareness
- Self-command
Because insight alone doesn’t change anything.
What matters is what you do when it counts.
The arc of the work looks like this:
- Self-knowledge: Understand what you do, what triggers it, and what it creates
- Self-Awareness: See yourself clearly in real time — not after the fact, but in the moment it’s happening
- Self-Command: Close the gap between insight and behavior under pressure
I coach the person, not the problem.
I’m not focused on solving isolated issues. I’m focused on how you think, how you decide, and how you operate — because that’s what drives everything else.
This is individual work, but it doesn’t happen in isolation. It plays out in the context of your team, your organization, and the culture you’re part of.
And often, the shifts that matter most are small.
A slight change in how you listen.
A different response under pressure.
A moment where you choose not to default.
Those moments compound. And they change everything.
What It’s Like to Work With Me
Most leaders already have a sense of what needs to change.
What they don’t have is the space (or the right kind of conversation) to think it through clearly.
The power of coaching is in the questions.
Not surface-level questions, but the kind that:
- challenge how you’re thinking
- surface what you’re avoiding
- clarify what actually matters to you
We use those questions to get clear on:
- your goals and objectives
- your values and what you stand for
- your strengths and where they’re helping or hurting you
- what kind of leader you actually want to be
From there, the work becomes practical.
Not just insight, but decisions, actions, and new ways of operating that you can use immediately.
You won’t be given answers.
You’ll be pushed to find your own — and to act on them.
Executive Coaching Backed by 25+ Years of Leadership Development Experience
I’ve spent more than 25 years working with leaders across corporate and entrepreneurial environments. My clients include leaders in financial services, health care, higher education and government. I have had the privilege of working with executives and founders enrolled in executive education programs at two top-tier universities.
My work focuses on helping leaders recognize and shift the patterns that shape how they think, decide, and lead — particularly at inflection points where previous strengths are no longer enough. I’m known for quickly understanding complex situations, surfacing what’s beneath the obvious, and helping clients translate insight into meaningful change.
Earlier in my career, I designed and led leadership development experiences for professionals at early, mid-career, and executive levels across multiple industries. I bring a background in the performing arts and drama therapy, which shapes how I listen, how I work, and how I help clients see themselves more clearly.
I hold a B.A. from Princeton University and an M.A. in Drama Therapy from Lesley University.
A Final Word
This work isn’t about title or level.
It’s about readiness.
If you’re willing to look honestly at how you’re operating and do something about it, this is powerful work.
The quality of your leadership is shaped by the quality of your self-awareness.
